Knowing more about the COMELEC

Before we get into heat of the 2010 national and local automated elections, it is but proper that we know exactly who will be administering it. The Commission on Elections or COMELEC has the enviable task of ensuring that we have properly elected leaders who will take their posts on June 30, 2010.

A search for easy-to-read information on the COMELEC led me to this paper entitled "The COMELEC and the 2010 Elections: What You Need to Know". I hope this will help us prepare for the sacred exercise of our right to suffrage come May 2010.

I will write next about the automated elections and what we need to know. I mean other than "may bilog, may bilog, na hugis itlog".
