Learning through YouTube

One thing I learned in my years of using the Internet is that no single site has revolutionalized learning more than YouTube. Nowadays, you can search for almost any topic in YouTube and find free information that can substantially improve your knowledge and skills.

And there are very obvious advantages of learning through YouTube aside from it being absolutely free.

You can learn at your own pace. Meaning, you can decide to spend a few minutes a day, or gobble up a topic marathon-style for hours and hours.

You can also make the teacher (on video) repeat himself or herself so many times until you understand what he or she is saying. That is something that will never be possible in a real-life setting.

What else? YouTube actually frees us from the formalities of a classroom setup and, I would argue, in some, if not majority of topics, more effective.

Above is a video tutorial series on Basic MS Excel posted by ExcelIsFun. Watch it and see if what i am saying is true.
