One of the foremost skills that an entrepreneur will have to learn is accounting. Even if you have personnel doing the bookkeeping of your business, or if you have hired an accountant to do it for you, it is mandatory that you understand the fundamentals of accounting and taxation.
For, if your objective is to earn profit, it follows that you need to be able to monitor and measure your income and expenses to achieve your objective. The good news is, there are a lot of institutions offering such types of trainings and seminars.
First, check out the website of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). Although they offer mainly for the continuing professional education of CPAs, they do offer seminars like tax updates once in a while.
Second, the website of PICPA Metro Manila Region Chapter actually provides more options. Aside from their accounting CPE seminars, they also offer seminars like accounting for non-accountants, financial statement analysis, tax updates, and others. So, don't forget to check PICPA MMR's schedule for the month.
Third, if you are interested in getting certification of your accounting skills, you might want to check out the website of the National Institute of Accounting Technicians (NIAT). They have a Certified Bookkeeper Program and a Certified Accounting Technician Program which are recognized in countries like the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.
Last but not the least, the Entrepreneurs Accounting Academy offers a range of courses, seminars and trainings designed to equip entrepreneurs with the necessary skills. EAA's courses include bookkeeping, advance bookkeeping, payroll management, micro, small and medium enterprises finance and management.
EAA's seminars and trainings include accounting 101 for employees and managers, accounting for non-accountants, auditing tools and techniques, advanced cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management, compensation and benefits, costing and pricing, payroll management, financial analysis tools and techniques, inventory and warehouse management, etc.

Entrepreneurs Accounting Academy (EAA) Bookkeeping course is so expensive, 35k++ and you have to pay for the module for Php 200.00 each, laboratory fee Php 2500.00 and ID Php 150.00.
The people are not very accommodating when you have queries. We have no proper orientation. It's a complete waste of time and money.

It's not true. I graduated in EAA. I belong to Batch 4 and I am happy that what I have learned from EAA is very useful on my work now. I am here in Canada now earning $4,000+ Canadian Dollar per month. For me teaching in EAA is very different and beyond standard. They don't spoon-fed their students. Their very practical. That's why students who are not used on it will be having difficulty on grasping the lesson. They let their students analyze the accounts which is very important when you're on real scenario already. I have also a friend who are currently enrolled in EAA and she said that they have their online session now. I envy her because she's advance already in three months time. The only thing I regret is that I didn't take the TESDA exam and I didn't get my diploma in EAA because I have to leave in Canada already. But it doesn't matter, I learned so much things in accounting in span of 6 months. Thank you EAA. Thank you Ms. Sarah, my favorite teacher. (-:
I attended the Bookkeeping Course and on the contrary, I think it helped me a lot. The tuition fee seems expensive at first but it helped me become more hands-on with my business. You know what they say---no pain, no gain!
