P4M discount from an 8-door apartment

I have just started a new real estate blog entitled "Own This Property". I decided to be on the lookout for good real estate deals for the rich and poor alike. A good example is the one I have just posted there, an 8-door apartment in Las Piñas with a fully operational water refilling station easily worth P8M is being sold for just P3.99M.

I got the information from a feed from Trace Trajano, a Filipino real estate investor based in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, and author of the book Think Rich Quick. He, together with Larry Gamboa and Bo Sanchez, are aiming to produce one million Filipino millionaires worldwide by 2020.

Got a P25T scholarship for P45

I always get those types of calls at the office. A telemarketer introduces herself on the phone as being from a certain insurance company and tells me about a free one-year accident insurance. I always turn them down saying "wala akong balak maaksidente ngayon taon." (I don't intend to figure in an accident this year.)

I probably got no less than 20 of those calls in the past year. This last time, however, I got a call telling me that I have a free two-year scholarship for pick up in Makati. According to the lady, all I have to do was to present three valid identification cards at their office. My training-starved self immediately jumped on the opportunity.

The trip to Makati comprising of a jeep and an MRT ride cost me only P22.50, or P45 back and forth. On the way there I was speculating on what's going to be the "hitch" about the P25,000 scholarship. Maybe they will ask me to attend a marketing spiel. Maybe I have to purchase something. Maybe...

As it turned out, when I got to the company's office I was only made to fill up a form, asked a few questions, and made to present the three valid IDs. Maybe it was because I didn't have an existing credit, something that they seemed interested about. Then, I was given an education voucher of Datamex allegedly worth P25,000 and fully tranferable.

The hitch? Upon inquiry with Datamex, I learned that the voucher is usable only for their 2-year computer courses and would account only for the tuition. One would still need to pay their miscellaneous fees. Honestly, that's not much of a hitch to me. The yaya of my daughter who is a high school graduate has long been wanting to attend college, even just a two-year course. In all likelihood, the scholarship goes to her.

Negosyo seminars at P99 only

Here's another bargain I found in another station of the MRT. On a wall at the MRT Station at Shaw Boulevard, there's a poster which announces courses on meat processing, fish processing, chocolate moulding, flavored juices, candle-making, balloon arrangement, perfume and cologne-making, flower arrangements, and many more, for only P99.

The seminars will be conducted at Richville Hotel located at 286 Edsa, Mandaluyong City, walking distance from the southbound side of the Shaw Boulevard station of the MRT.

For further inquiries, call 5331608 and look for Mr. Elvin Viola. I understand that this Saturday, their seminars will be on candle-making moulding, chicken tocino and hamburger patties. There are limited slots. To attend, you have to pay ahead of the event at the Richville Hotel's cashier. See you there?

Everything at P55

We all have seen that shop or chain of shops which sells everything at P99. Well, I came across this shop in Makati which sells just about anything at only P55, around 50% less. The shop known as Uncle Bills, is located near the escalator/stairs of the southbound side of the MRT Station near Ayala.

I could not believe the things they were selling there at such a low price. Their wares include kitchen utensils, cleaning paraphernalia, school supplies, household items, hobby and craft items, even some sport equipment like a pair of table tennis rackets, and many others.

I think their pricing would be a hit to the common Pinoy who are constantly looking for bargains. Their wares looked durable enough too. I and my wife got an egg beater that we have been using in dishwashing/fabric conditioner-making.

I can only hope that shops like Uncle Bills will continue to flourish in Metro Manila and in other provinces.
