Free entrepreneurship classes in July

As an entrepreneur, taking the initiative to educate yourself is a great way of honing your skills. Beginning July 7 to 9, the Department of Trade and Industry will be celebrating SME Development Week with free classes for aspiring entrepreneurs.

The focus of the program is to help small- and medium-enterprises grow their business through talks given by successful entrepreneurs and seminars geared towards practical business topics. The program's plenary session will be held on July 7 with topics tackling access to financing, productivity and efficiency, and business development.

The Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC) will be offering free seminars for entrepreneurs on July 8 and 9 at the PTTC in Roxas Boulevard, Manila. Topics will range from Barangay Micro Business Enterprise Law to Consumer Rights Protection to Registering for Patents, Trademarks and Trade Names.

For those interested to go, attendance is a by first come, first serve basis. Registration for the day begins at 7:30 a.m. Please call DTI-BMSMED at telephone numbers (632) 897-1693 or (632) 751-5076, and PTTC at telephone numbers (632) 468-8962 to 70 for more details.
